We will be discussing the works of James Joyce at the John David Ebert School for the Study of Culture, Cosmology & the Arts. The first course, Understanding James Joyce (1): A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, will begin on Saturday, June 10 at noon MST and will continue until Saturday, July 15, a total of six weeks. (This will overlap Bloomsday on June 16, the date for the celebration of Ulysses, which occurs on that date). The course will then be followed by a separate 8 week course on Ulysses. We will also briefly discuss Joyce’s first work Dubliners as well as the early, scrapped version of A Portrait, entitled Stephen Hero. Enrolling for the first course costs $150.

So come join us for coffee, conversation and great literature! I promise it will be a blast!

Very good, John. I read POAAYM when I was in high school AP Literature. It is just one of those books that brands itself on your heart and changes you forever.
